Autonomy, Complexity and Relationship between Effort and Reward

Caffeinated Thought of the Week:

In the book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell uses stories from an apron business owner to The Beatles to show how work needs three qualities to be satisfying and fulfilling.   

1. Autonomy - Are you given some control to make decisions on your own?
2. Complexity - Are you challenged?
3. Relationship between Effort and Reward - There has to be some way to track progress or to define success.
